They say writers thrive under pressure. A boring life makes for boring writing. Usually, that’s true for me. The more stressful my life, the more I want to escape into my writing where I at least have more control.
But that’s only true up to a point, apparently. Last year, I managed to write 4 good sized books for a total of over 200,000 words. This year’s New Year’s Resolution was to top that. So far my score is 0 words. The stress of moving into my first house and dealing with all the little projects that come with a home (Like, oh, rewiring the first floor and replacing all the plumbing) has overshadowed my writing this year.
But the year isn’t over yet. I have one good story idea mostly formed, which I’m saving for November. I’m hoping that at the least I’ll win NaNo WriMo again this year.:)
