Seamstress
Lori’s first year at the Peacekeeper Academy came to a rather unorthodox end as she made the decision to disobey her orders and follow two suspected saboteurs. Now, alone in a remote mining town with no way to get word back to the Academy, Lori struggles to unravel the plot on her own. By day, she works as a seamstress’ apprentice to support herself. By night, she uses her unique gifts to spy on the saboteurs.
As days turn into weeks, Lori begins to doubt that she can accomplish such a daunting task, or that the Academy will even listen to her if she does gather evidence. The life of a seamstress begins to look more and more appealing. When a lucky break reveals the identity of the man planning to attack the Peacekeepers, Lori must decide what to do with the information.
In the end, she will need the help of new and old allies to stop a plot bigger than anyone imagined…
