I forgot my lunch today in my rush to get to work, so all I had to eat was a banana in the morning. So of course today is the day Mom calls up to describe in crushing detail the awesomeness they ate on the way home from seeing my sister in Milwaukee. Oh, and also, she told me about the homemade chicken wraps they were going to have tonight. And then I had to grocery shopping right after work. It was only by sheer force of will that I didn’t end up with a cart full of Oreos and Doritos. Okay, I did get the Doritos.

Anyway, in writing news, I took it slow this weekend and netted maybe 2,000 words in the 2 days combined. I hadn’t anticipated that my brother would actually emerge from his WoW cave to spend time with me. Plus I wanted to give my poor hands/wrists a rest. But I’m back at the grindstone today. I pushed myself to get to 25,000 words today. I’m only on chapter 3 of 10 (or more), so the novel will probably be juuuust a smidge more than 50,000 words. Still, I’m counting myself as halfway to my NaNoWriMo goal.
