Oh, The News…
Posted: March 6th, 2008 under blog post.
I went home yet again last weekend because my sister was visiting from college with one of her friends. Also, we celebrated Dad’s birthday since my sister was going to be home.
So it was a pretty busy weekend. I went to see Vantage Point with my sister and her friend, and it was pretty good. It’s not very rewatchable since it hinges on the suspense of not knowing what’s really going on, but it was certainly entertaining and way better than most of the crusty rehashed nonsense they’re passing off as feature films lately. Yeah, I’m talking to you Fool’s Gold and Semi-Pro. Whatcha gonna do about it?
Anyway, the parents got a Wii for their anniversary, so much of the weekend was spent playing Wii. So much so, in fact, that my entire upper body hurt so badly that taking extra strength Tylenol didn’t do much to cut the pain. Good times, though. Us kids got the parents Mario Party 8 for their anniversary, and it is a lot of fun. Unfortunately, controllers are $40 each, so we’ve only got two.
Well, long story short, I’m behind on my novel again. I know, when am I not? Plus, the main character is really upbeat and indomitable. And I’m not feeling either now that more snow and cold weather has descended on us so it’s hard to dredge up her voice.
But here’s my progress for today:
Title: Basic (Working Title)
Words: 4,080 of 50,000
Progress Today: 2,080 of 2,000
