Winter is Laughing at You When
Posted: March 13th, 2006 under creative writing, poem.
Thick layers of fresh snow
Appear overnight, flopping
Onto unsuspecting cars
And freshly plowed roads.
Road signs stand with blindfolds
Of mischievous, slushy snow,
Clinging and chuckling,
Making all roads equal
In their anonymity.
Windows are free of ice
On the outside, but someohw
Laced with stubborn, unreachable
Paper thing ice on the inside.
